Emergency address and 911 location for a cloud phone
Store a company and per-user civic address for 911 location. Dialcove stores the address and does not place 911. Live 911 still needs the voice provider.
A cloud phone does not sit at a copper pair in a building. Someone still has to say where 911 should send help. Dialcove holds that civic address on the Floor. It does not place the 911 call.
After sign-in, every seat can open Emergency address. Help phrases “E911”, “911”, “emergency address”, and “911 address” open Emergency address.
What you store
Street, city, two-letter state, and ZIP. Optionally turn on I confirmed this address is current. That checkbox is manual. Dialcove does not geocode and does not invent a validated pass.
- Company address — admin saves it and can edit each seat.
- Per-user address — each seat can save their own. A complete per-user address is what 911 uses for that person; otherwise the company address is used.
What the Floor shows
The Floor and the softphone dock show 911 uses [address] or 911 uses missing.
Outbound 911 / 933 is blocked when the address is missing, and refused even when it is present. This product stores the address only. Tests and the demo simulator must never dial 911.
What Dialcove does not do
Carrier 911 provisioning still needs a live address registered with the voice provider. Dialcove does not file the address, does not geocode it, and does not place 911.
That sentence is intentional. A marketing page that claimed “we complete 911 for you” would be false.
