Cloud phone system

The call center phone system that doesn't get in the way.

Dialcove is a cloud phone system for inbound teams. Queues, an auto-attendant, a browser softphone, SMS follow-up with 10DLC brand status and HELP/STOP keywords, and optional call recording with a consent announcement before connect — without a wall of unused chrome. Plans are Starter, Growth, and Enterprise, billed per seat. After sign-in, admins manage seats and invoice history on Billing. Each company can store an emergency address so 911 has a location — or the floor shows that it is missing.

Ask Dialcove

Ask Dialcove — search this site

Type a product question or a page name. Ask Dialcove answers from Dialcove's own copy or opens that page — Home, Features, Pricing, Help, and Blog or Learn guides when those posts are on this site. It does not draft emails, write outreach, place calls, send texts, change billing, file a port, or buy a number. Try: ask, search the site, what is Dialcove, how much does it cost, port my number, send a fax, 911 address.

Learn / Guides

Guides for the inbound floor

Port a number, register 10DLC, turn on recording consent, store a 911 address, or get a local line — written against the Dialcove you can sign in to. No invented traffic stats.

Installable phone app

A browser softphone that works on phones.

Open Dialcove in Safari or Chrome on a phone and use the same Floor dock as a laptop: Answer, Hold, Mute, and Hang up. Add the site to the Home Screen for an installable phone app that opens without browser chrome. Dialcove has not shipped a separate native iOS or Android app.

  • Large tap targets on a phone Floor

Answer, Hang up, Hold, and Mute are sized for a thumb at about 375px. The in-call bar stays pinned while you talk — it does not scroll away behind the transcript.

  • Same dock on a phone browser

Sign in, stay on the Floor, and take the call from the bottom dock. Presence (Available, On a call, Wrap-up) stays labeled on a small screen. The dial pad keys are large enough to hit.

  • Add to Home Screen — not a store app

Safari: Share → Add to Home Screen. Chrome: menu → Add to Home Screen or Install app. The icon opens Dialcove full-screen (standalone PWA) on the Floor when you are signed in. Help phrases install app, PWA, mobile app, and native app mean this — not an App Store or Play Store listing. We have not shipped those store apps.

E911 location

Emergency address on the floor — 911 knows where you are, or that it is missing.

Each company and each seat can store a civic address: street, city, state, and ZIP. Confirm it by hand if you want. The Floor and the browser softphone show a small “911 uses [address]” hint, or “911 uses missing,” and will not place 911 from Dialcove.

  • Company address and per-user override

Admins save the company emergency address and can edit each seat. Advisors can save their own. A complete per-user address is what 911 uses for that person; otherwise the company address is used.

  • Manual confirm — Dialcove does not geocode

Optional “I confirmed this address is current” is a checkbox you turn on. Dialcove does not geocode the street and does not invent a validated status.

  • Stored here. Registered with the voice provider separately.

This is UI and storage. Live 911 still needs the same address registered with the voice provider. After sign-in, Help opens Emergency address for “E911”, “911”, or “emergency address”. Dialcove does not place a 911 call.

Call recording

Consent before connect. Retention you control.

Dialcove can record calls when you want it — and stay quiet when you do not. Turn recording on, play a consent announcement before the caller reaches an advisor, and keep files only as long as your policy says.

  • Optional recording with a consent announcement

Require a spoken line (Say) or a recorded prompt (Play) before Dialcove connects. Callers hear the announcement first. Recording stays off unless you turn it on.

  • Retention period you set

Choose 30, 90, 365, or a custom number of days. Hours & greeting stores the policy. Recordings, Reports, and the Floor dock show how long this company keeps audio.

  • Compliance-minded badges on Floor and Reports

When both recording and the consent announcement are on, the Floor softphone and Reports show Recording · consent on — so the floor can see the policy without opening settings.

Business SMS

10DLC status, campaign use-case, and HELP/STOP on the same floor.

Text follow-up stays next to the call — and the company can show a real registration status, store the campaign worksheet, and answer opt-out keywords without inventing an approved brand.

  • Brand registration status you set

Draft, pending, approved, or rejected — stored on the company. New companies start as draft. Dialcove never marks Approved unless an admin does. Rejected blocks outbound texts; draft still sends and warns.

  • Campaign use-case worksheet

Vertical, sample messages, and opt-in language live on Messaging. Copy them into Twilio Console when the brand is ready. Dialcove does not collect an EIN or file A2P for you.

  • HELP and STOP keywords

Inbound STOP, STOPALL, UNSUBSCRIBE, CANCEL, END, and QUIT unsubscribe that number and send a standard reply. HELP and INFO send help copy. START, UNSTOP, and YES resubscribe. Optional STOP/HELP footer on outbound texts. After sign-in, Help opens Messaging for “10DLC”, “SMS registration”, “text compliance”, or “opt out”.

Number marketplace

Get a number in your area code

Search local or toll-free inventory by area code. Hold or request a line — Dialcove does not purchase it or mark it live until the number is on your account. After sign-in, Help phrases “buy a number”, “get a number”, “area code”, “toll free”, and “number marketplace” open Numbers. To keep a number you already have, use Porting.

Number porting

Keep your numbers

Bring the lines you already have. We file the port with your carrier after you confirm. FOC date is set when the losing carrier returns it. After sign-in, admins open Porting — Help phrases “port number”, “porting”, “transfer my number”, and “keep my number” open that page.

CTI

Open the caller record as the phone rings

Set a destination URL with {phone}, {callId}, and {direction}. When an inbound call rings or is answered, the Floor offers Open record — Dialcove opens the URL you set and never creates a CRM record. Click-to-dial pastes an E.164 into the existing softphone outbound. Connecting Salesforce or HubSpot with OAuth is later. After sign-in, Help phrases “CTI”, “click to dial”, “screen pop”, and “CRM” open that settings screen.

Workforce

Schedules and adherence on the same floor

Admins save weekly shifts in Dialcove — day plus start and end in local time, America/Chicago by default. The Floor and wallboard compare those times to presence right now: Scheduled, In, Out, or Late. After sign-in, Help opens Schedules for “schedule”, “WFM”, “adherence”, or “shift”.

  • Weekly shifts you set

Per-person days and start/end times, stored on this company. Timezone defaults to America/Chicago. No third-party WFM login.

  • Live adherence vs now

If the clock is inside a saved shift and the seat is Available or On a call, they show In. Inside a shift and Offline shows Late. Dialcove does not invent punch history.

  • Not a full WFM suite

This is in-app schedules plus live adherence. Dialcove does not forecast volume and does not auto-bid shifts.

Team chat

Team chat on the same floor

Company channels and direct messages sit next to the softphone. Presence is the same Floor status. This is in-app team messaging — not a separate desktop chat app, and not the customer Inbox. After sign-in, Help opens Team chat for “team chat”, “internal chat”, or “message the team”.

Video meetings

Video meetings in the browser

Create a named meeting and copy a same-origin join link. The room asks for camera and microphone, then shows your local preview and Waiting for others. Dialcove has not wired a media server, so it does not invent remote participants. This is a browser meeting room, not a native app, and it does not place phone calls. After sign-in, Help opens Video meetings for “video”, “meeting”, and “video call”.

Fax

Send and receive faxes on the same floor

Send a PDF or image to an E.164 from the same product as the softphone. Jobs stay on this company. Send starts when fax is connected on the voice account. Dialcove never marks delivered unless a provider callback says so. The inbound inbox stays empty until a webhook stores one. After sign-in, Help opens Fax for “fax”, “send a fax”, and “fax inbox”.

Connections

Bring your own identity, phones, and billing when you are ready

When you are ready, wire Trust Hub / CNAM, SSO, SIP devices, and live Stripe from Connections. Status is Connected or Not connected from env on this host. Drafts stay local. Dialcove does not file Trust Hub, invent CNAM, turn on SSO, register a SIP phone, or charge a card. After sign-in, Help opens Connections for “Trust Hub”, “CNAM”, “SSO”, “SIP”, “connect Stripe”, and “unblock”.

Billing

Starter, Growth, or Enterprise — priced per seat.

After sign-in, admins choose a plan and a seat count on Billing. Estimated monthly is seats times the list rate. Invoice history and the payment method live on the same page. Stripe Checkout runs when STRIPE_SECRET_KEY is connected; until then, confirming a plan change stores the preference and does not charge.

  • Three plans, billed per seat

Starter is $29 per seat. Growth is $49. Enterprise is $79. Step the seat count on Billing and the estimate updates before you confirm a plan change.

  • Self-serve seats and invoices after sign-in

Admins open Billing from the left nav or Help (“billing”, “upgrade”, “seats”, “invoice history”, “change plan”, “payment method”, “stripe”). Invoice history stays empty until Stripe returns invoices. Agents do not see this page.

  • Stripe when you connect it

With STRIPE_SECRET_KEY, a confirmed plan change starts a Checkout session and Customer Portal uses a real Stripe response. Without the key, Dialcove shows Connect Stripe to enable checkout and never pretends a card was charged.

Built for the inbound floor

Harbor Care Advisors runs Dialcove for veteran-benefits and senior-care intake: Frontline, Intake, Sales, Claims, and specialist groups on one main number.

  • Auto-attendant

Publish a greeting and a keypad menu that routes to a queue, an extension, voicemail, a callback, or an external number. Drafts stay off the live number until you publish.

  • Queues and skills

Frontline, intake, sales, and claims groups with simultaneous ring or round robin. Skills-first ACD rings the advisor who can actually take the call.

  • Browser softphone

Answer, hold, mute, transfer, conference, and click-to-dial from the Floor dock — on a laptop or a phone browser. Large tap targets on a phone-width Floor. Add Dialcove to the Home Screen for an installable phone app that opens full-screen. This is the browser softphone / PWA, not a native iOS or Android App Store listing.

  • Call recording and consent

Recording is optional. When it is on, Dialcove can play a consent announcement — a spoken line (Say) or a recorded prompt (Play) — before the caller is connected. Set the retention period: 30, 90, 365, or a custom number of days. The Floor dock and Reports show a Recording · consent on badge when both recording and the announcement are enabled.

  • Call log and recordings

Every inbound and outbound lands in the call log with disposition, talk time, and a caller file. Supervisors play recordings and read transcripts for coaching. The Recordings library shows the current retention policy.

  • SMS and inbox

Keep the text thread next to the call. The inbox gathers SMS, web chat, and email so the same advisor can follow up without leaving Dialcove. Business SMS includes a 10DLC worksheet: brand registration status, campaign use-case, and HELP/STOP keywords with standard replies.

  • 10DLC and text compliance

Admins open Messaging to set brand registration status (draft, pending, approved, or rejected), store a campaign use-case (vertical, sample messages, opt-in language), and handle HELP/STOP on inbound texts. Dialcove never marks Approved for you. Submit the brand in Twilio Console when it is ready.

  • Hours and greeting

Set open hours per company. After hours, play a recorded greeting and take voicemail — or forward to an external number when closed, or always. The same page holds Call recording: turn recording on or off, require a consent announcement before connect, and choose a retention period.

  • Wallboard and reports

Live presence, queue depth, and SLA on a wallboard. Reports cover volume, answer rate, talk time, numbers, and survey scores, with CSV export. Floor and Reports show Recording · consent on when the company records with a consent announcement.

  • Get a number in your area code

Admins search local or toll-free inventory by area code on Numbers. Hold or Request stores the pick on the company. Dialcove does not purchase the DID, does not charge a card, and does not mark the number live. If Twilio Search is not configured, the page says so and does not invent results. After sign-in, Help phrases “buy a number”, “get a number”, “area code”, “toll free”, and “number marketplace” open Numbers.

  • Keep your numbers

Admins start a port on Porting: current carrier, E.164 list, and losing-carrier account / PIN, stored on the company. We file the port with your carrier after you confirm. FOC date is set when the losing carrier returns it. Status is draft, submitted, FOC set, completed, or rejected — admin-set only. Dialcove never auto-completes a port.

  • Emergency address and 911 location

Admins and each seat save a civic emergency address: street, city, state, and ZIP, plus an optional manual confirm. The Floor and softphone show “911 uses [address]” or “911 uses missing” and refuse outbound 911. Dialcove stores the address only — live 911 still needs that address registered with the voice provider.

  • CTI screen-pop and click to dial

Open the caller record as the phone rings. Admins set a destination URL with {phone}, {callId}, and {direction}. The Floor offers Open record on ringing or answered inbound — Dialcove opens that URL and never creates a CRM record. Paste an E.164 on CTI or the Floor and click Dial to use the existing softphone outbound. Connecting Salesforce or HubSpot with OAuth is later.

  • Team chat on the same floor

Company channels and direct messages live next to the softphone. Presence is the same Floor status. This is in-app team messaging — not a separate desktop chat app, and not the customer Inbox. After sign-in, Help opens Team chat for “team chat”, “internal chat”, or “message the team”.

  • Video meetings in the browser

Create a named meeting and copy a same-origin join link. The room asks for camera and microphone, then shows your local preview and Waiting for others. Dialcove has not wired a media server, so it does not invent remote participants. This is a browser meeting room, not a native app, and it does not place phone calls. After sign-in, Help opens Video meetings for “video”, “meeting”, and “video call”.

  • Send and receive faxes on the same floor

Admins send a PDF or image to an E.164 from Fax. Jobs are stored on the company. If fax is not connected on the voice account, the job stays submitted — send starts when fax is connected. Delivered is only set from a real provider callback. The inbound inbox stays empty until a webhook stores one. After sign-in, Help opens Fax for “fax”, “send a fax”, and “fax inbox”.

  • Schedules and adherence

Admins set per-person weekly shifts — day plus start and end in local time, America/Chicago by default — on Schedules. The Floor and wallboard show Scheduled / In / Out / Late versus now: inside a saved shift and Available or On a call is In; inside a shift and Offline is Late. This is in-app schedules and live adherence, not a full WFM suite. Dialcove does not forecast volume or auto-bid shifts.

  • Self-serve billing

After sign-in, admins pick Starter, Growth, or Enterprise and a seat count on Billing. Estimated monthly is seats times the plan rate. Invoice history and the payment method appear on the same page. When Stripe is connected, a confirmed plan change opens Checkout. Until then, confirming saves the plan and seats and does not charge.

  • Bring your own identity, phones, and billing when you are ready

Admins open Connections to see Trust Hub / CNAM, SSO, SIP, and Stripe as Connected or Not connected from env — secrets are never printed.
