After-hours voicemail and closed-hours mailbox

Closed hours play the Hours greeting, RecordVerb leaves a message, and it lands on /voicemail with America/Chicago times. Always-forward only runs when an E.164 is saved.

When the floor is closed, callers should hear a greeting and leave a message — not a pretend live answer. Dialcove’s after-hours default is the voicemail mailbox.

Closed-hours path

  1. An admin opens Hours & greeting (also hours and greeting in Help).
  2. Closed hours Play the Hours greeting — saved recording first, typed after-hours message second.
  3. RecordVerb leaves a Frontline mailbox message. Empty or zero-duration recordings are not stored.
  4. The recording status callback writes the row so it appears on Voicemail with America/Chicago times.

Help phrases after hours, closed hours, and hours and greeting open Hours & greeting. Leave a voicemail, voicemail inbox, after hours voicemail, and closed-hours mailbox open the inbox.

Always-forward stays honest

Forward to external number is Off, When closed, or Always. Always-forward only runs when you save an E.164. Off or blank keeps the mailbox. Dialcove does not invent an ElevenLabs DID and does not mark a live AI answer.

Inbox

After sign-in, Voicemail lists stored messages. Play marks heard. Mark heard / Mark unread work without playing. Filter All, Unread, or After hours. If this company has no Hours schedule, after-hours cannot be classified. See Features.
